1991 PRS Custom 24, Player’s Grade, Purple Faded to Natural, Original Case

Early 1990s PRS Custom 24 from the golden era, offered here as a true player’s grade instrument with serious mileage and real mojo. Originally finished in purple, the carved flamed maple top has naturally faded over time into a beautiful natural gloss, with visible traces of the original color still present inside the pickup cavities.

This guitar has been heavily played throughout its life. There is extensive honest wear including edge wear, numerous dings, dents, chips, and heavy patina across the body and headstock, with some very noticeable marks on the headstock in particular. That said, the guitar is structurally solid in every respect, with no break repairs, and no damage that affects functionality. It plays great up and down the neck and has no structural or mechanical issues.

Electronics have been simplified to a Les Paul style layout and the guitar is currently fitted with Gibson PAF style humbuckers, believed to be Classic ’57s, with Volume, Tone, and a 3 way toggle switch. The original PRS tremolo and arm function perfectly, and the original PRS locking tuners and bird inlays remain intact.

Includes the original black PRS tolex hard case, used but fully functional.

This isn’t a collector piece and it’s not pretending to be one. It’s a road worn, inspiring Custom 24 made for a working player who cares more about feel, tone, and vibe than cosmetics. It’s priced accordingly and offers a great chance to own a true golden era PRS at about half the cost of cleaner examples, with all wear clearly visible and fully disclosed.
